Looking for an elegant and state-of-the-art site for your corporate function, lecture program or club meeting? The ultra-modern Mark Twain Museum Center can provide a breathtaking backdrop for your event. Meeting spaces for rent include the soaring Great Hall, the lecture hall-style Lincoln Financial Auditorium, the more intimate Hartford Financial Services Theatre and a spacious classroom that can be subdivided into two smaller meeting rooms.
The bright and airy café space located on the second floor provides an ideal location for cocktails or an intimate dinner. The cafe opens directly onto a patio complete with tables, chairs, sun umbrellas and rockers for fair-weather entertaining . Special exhibits, The Mark Twain Store and private tours of the National Landmark Mark Twain House add a historic touch to your special event.

The Great Hall
Our largest space, perfect for seated dinners, cocktail receptions, performances and dancing. Includes a grand piano for your entertainment.
Capacity: 100 for a seated dinner, 250 for cocktail reception.
Available for evenings only.
The Lincoln Financial Auditorium
Our lecture hall featuring state-of-the-art audio-visuals and computer hook-up for presentations.
Capacity: 175 fixed seats.
The Hartford Financial Services Theatre
Our smaller lecture hall, meeting space and DVD video/PowerPoint projection theatre.
Capacity: 75 seats that can be reconfigured.
Available for evenings only.
The Classroom
Use as one large room for lectures, classes or corporate presentations or use the retractable walls to create two smaller meeting spaces. Includes projection capabilities, computer hook-ups and wipe boards.
Capacity: 40 in a classroom set-up, 50 in a theater set-up.
The Café
Perfect for cocktail parties, receptions and intimate dinners. The Mark Twain House & Museum can provide you with a list of preferred caterers who are welcome to utilize our full catering kitchen.
Capacity: 50 seated, 75 for standing cocktail reception.
The Terrace
Directly adjacent to our café, our Terrace can extend your cocktail reception or dinner into the great outdoors with chairs, tables, umbrellas and rocking chairs.
Capacity: 100 for standing cocktails
Please Note: Our café is only available for events after 5:00 p.m. Due to the historic nature of the Mark Twain House, we cannot allow food or beverage inside the House itself. We are happy to make arrangements for private tours for your guests for an additional charge. We welcome requests for weddings, though availability is sometimes limited.
