Education Programs Overview

by Craig Hotchkiss, Education Program Director |

Whether you are a teacher looking for a way to bring your reading and writing lessons to life, a true “Twainiac” who has read his books a million times or are picking up these American classics again for the first time since childhood, we have fun and educational programs for you!

Every year, our Mark Twain experts present lively and informative discussions here at The Mark Twain House & Museum and in the community at schools, libraries, book clubs, social groups, corporate meetings and more.

The museum’s education programs are made possible by generous funding from the National Endowment for the Humanities, The Hartford Courant Foundation, the Ensworth Charitable Foundation, Bank of America, Trustee, the Greater Hartford Jaycees Foundation, the Lincoln Financial Group Foundation, the Alexander A. Goldfarb Memorial Trust, the Ellen Jeanne Goldfarb Memorial Charitable Trust and the Charles Nelson Robinson Fund, Bank of America, Trustee.
