To welcome you to our house properly, groups of 10 or more qualify for a group rate discount. True to Victorian-era manners and style, your reservations must be made at least two weeks prior to date of visit by using the form below, calling our ticket line at 860-280-3130 or contacting Grace Belanger in Admissions at firstname.lastname@example.org.
School groups are also offered special pricing and can register for field trips online separately.
To ensure our guests receive the best possible experience, The Mark Twain House is shown by guided tour, with each lasting approximately 45-60 minutes. Groups must be divided into smaller groups of no more than 14 for the house tour. Each tour is led by trained historic interpreters, and encompasses all three floors of the house.
The Museum is self-guided and will take approximately 1 1/2 hours to view the orientation exhibit, introductory video and our special exhibits. A visit to the Mark Twain Store completes your visit. There is also The Nook cafe where you can grab a snack.
Please Note: Reservations and group rates are not available on the holiday weekends of Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day.
Group tours are subject to a $50 non-refundable deposit to be paid in advance of the visit. The deposit is applied to the overall balance and the remaining balance can be paid upon arrival, in one payment for the entire group. Cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express
The first floor of The Mark Twain House is wheelchair accessible. Visitors must be able to negotiate three flights of stairs for the complete tour. The Museum is fully handicapped accessible.
