Join us for a conversation with Gregory Maguire, author of Wicked, as our friend Frank Rizzo kicks off the Fall 2020 A Little Harmless Fun series.

The casual, free-wheeling conversation series will be held online this fall via Crowdcast and will once again be led by Rizzo, New York theater critic for Variety and writer for Connecticut Magazine, The New York Times, Hartford Magazine, and other publications.

Kicking off the series on October 7 will be a conversation with Maguire, the New York Times bestselling author of Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister, Lost, Mirror Mirror, After Alice, Hiddensee, and the Wicked Years, a series that includes Wicked, Son of a Witch, A Lion Among Men, and Out of Oz. Wicked, a beloved classic and basis for the blockbuster Tony Award-winning Broadway musical, is celebrating its 25th anniversary in print with a new hardcover edition. Maguire has lectured on art, literature, and culture both at home and abroad. His latest novel, out on October 6, 2020, is A Wild Winter Swan.

Admission is $35 and includes a signed copy of A Wild Winter Swan and shipping. We regret that we are NOT able to ship books outside the United States as it is cost-prohibitive to do so.

Admission WITHOUT a copy of the book is $21. If you choose this option, please enter this coupon code when you register: 36q1x4

A Little Harmless Fun will continue on October 27 with toy expert Chris Byrne and on November 12 with author Joyce Maynard; a fourth guest is to be announced soon.
