Kerry Driscoll Book Launch: Mark Twain Among the Indians and Other Indigenous Peoples

Wednesday, June 20, 7-8:30 pm.

Dr. Kerry Driscoll, a Mark Twain scholar and frequent lecturer, launches her new book, Mark Twain Among the Indians and Other Indigenous Peoples, described by the University of California Press, as the first book-length study of the writer’s evolving views regarding the aboriginal inhabitants of North America and the Southern Hemisphere, and his deeply conflicted representations of them in fiction, newspaper sketches, and speeches.

The event opens with a reception in the Hal Holbrook Hall, followed by a presentation in the Lincoln Financial Auditorium and a book signing.

This event is free, but registration is encouraged. Register here.
