“Cat in a Ruff” Print

This small color print on archival paper is a reproduction of the beloved “Cat in a Ruff” painting. The “Cat in a Ruff” is a painting of unknown origin that the Clemens family had on the mantle in their library. Sam would play a game with his young daughters in which he would invent stories incorporating all of the items on the mantle. The catch was that it always had to start off with the Cat in the Ruff. Since the stories were spontaneous and changed from night to night, they have never been documented.
