Mark Twain’s Book of Animals


This book edited with an introduction and notes by Shelley Fisher Fishkin (Stanford University) is a collection of Mark Twain’s writings about animals, taken from the original texts established by The Mark Twain Project. This fabulous collection of short pieces, some of which have never been in book form, all reveal Mark Twain’s love of and concern for the treatment of animals. It is organized chronologically with helpful notes on the origins of each piece and illustrated by Barry Moser. Paperback 325 pages.
