History Day 2021 With Mark Twain!

Explore Mark Twain's Home From Your Home!

We can’t welcome you to the museum in person right now, but we invite you to visit our gorgeous 3D tour of Mark Twain’s Hartford home.

As a special treat for 2021 History Day participants, we’ll be answering your questions about the house and the people who lived and worked there in the 19th century.

Submit your questions through the form at the bottom of this page and tune in to the museum’s education channel on YouTube at noon on March 13 to see if we answer them!

Click here to explore the virtual tour!

You can also read Twain’s thoughts on New England weather and tell us what you think, watch our webseries about what it was like to live and work in this house, play I Spy with some of the rooms in the house—or create some very silly Mark Twain Mad Libs.

Submit your questions here

You can submit one question—or a whole bunch! Get them in by Wednesday March 10th, and remember to check back on History Day to see if we answered them.

  • You don't have to share your name with us, but if you do, don't worry; if we answer your question in the video, we'll only mention your first name.
