The Mark Twain House & Museum announces a special, limited-time opportunity for residents of the City of Hartford: daily free tours of the Twain House.

Through the end of 2018, all residents in a City of Hartford ZIP code can visit the museum and take a regular tour of the landmark Mark Twain House for free.

Free admission for Hartford residents is generously sponsored by The Hartford.

“The Mark Twain House is a unique treasure of historic importance,” says the museum’s Executive Director Pieter Roos.  “We are fortunate to live in Twain’s adopted home town, and we want to open his home to all our Hartford neighbors and share his life and legacy with them.”

Hartford residents need only show proof of residency in a Hartford ZIP code to sign up for a free house tour at the front desk in the Visitor’s Center.  Living History and other specialty tours are not included in this offer.

This offer is only good for residents of the City of Hartford. Residents of other cities (West Hartford, East Hartford, Bloomfield, etc.) are not eligible for this offer.
