We prefer requests in advance but are happy to work with reporters and film crews on short notice. Note that for preservation reasons there are restrictions on filming and photographing in the house, so arrangements must be made before you arrive on site. We look forward to working with you.

Donation Requests

The Mark Twain House & Museum honors Mark Twain’s legacy by serving the educational and cultural needs of local, national, and international communities, while also being a responsible steward of his National Historic Landmark home and our historical assets for the benefit of the public.  We encourage all to visit where Twain lived, raised his family, and created the enduring works of literature that defined the American voice.

We’re honored to support our fellow nonprofit organizations by offering complimentary tour passes to use in fundraising efforts, such as auctions, drawings, or community fundraisers.  We invite you to submit a donation request so your patrons can visit the home of the man who changed American literature.

Due to the high volume of requests we receive, please allow at least 3 weeks for processing.  Requests are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.  We try to accommodate as many requests as possible, but due to the number of requests we receive each year, we can’t say yes to everyone.

To request a donation, email or mail your request in writing on your organization’s official letterhead to:

·        Name, date, purpose of event, and Tax ID number

·        Name of organization sponsoring event

Donation packets will be mailed to your organization, unless other arrangements are made.
