Donna Larcen

Donna Larcen has joined The Mark Twain House & Museum as a Communications Specialist.

The Arts Editor at the Hartford Courant for many years, Larcen grew up in Philadelphia and graduated from Temple University with an undergraduate degree in journalism and master’s in education (curriculum theory).  She still writes features for Hartford Magazine, The Courant’s glossy monthly.  She has also done communications and event planning for Charter Oak Cultural Center, and for the Hartford Public Library.

“Mark Twain has been on my radar since 7th grade when our teacher would read Adventures of Huckleberry Finn to us every Friday afternoon,” Larcen said. “It’s a thrill to work in the house where Samuel Clemens wrote that groundbreaking novel.”
