Christie Kuriger is the new Gardens and Grounds Coordinator for the Mark Twain House & Museum.  She has been working for many months with Laura Barnett Goldberg who previously held the position.

Christie completed a Master Gardener program through Cornell Cooperative Extension.

“The climates and syllabus are similar and I was able to get that same recognition in Connecticut,” says Christie, who lives in Southington.

Her immediate challenge is getting things in shape for spring and planting bulbs in flower boxes for the ombra that will that be transplanted to the patio area. She is working closely with Chief Curator Tracy Brindle to maintain historical accuracy for the plantings and they are working on a roof garden.
