With dozens of events and programs each year and nearly 100,000 visitors and participants, sponsorship of The Mark Twain House & Museum is an effective way to gain community and national visibility while supporting one of the country’s top literary homes.

Corporate sponsorship opportunities begin at $1,000 and provide cross-promotion and marketing opportunities, as well as benefits for your employees and clients. These may include discounted or complimentary House tour admission, discounted tickets to events and programs, discounted facilities rentals, VIP access, and more.

There are many opportunities for sponsorship, including, but not limited to:

Programs

Museum Exhibitions: Major exhibitions run 10 months. Admission to exhibitions is included in all house-tour tickets, giving your company plenty of visibility to our guests.

Student Education Programs: The Mark Twain House & Museum provides free and reduced-cost admission to local students, along with educational programs and teacher workshops throughout the school year. The museum also runs in-depth programs with several local schools including summer programs.

Writing Programs: From multi-week writing workshops and one-day classes in all genres to the Royal Nonesuch National Humor Writing Contest to our annual three-day Writers Weekend, The Mark Twain House & Museum has become a well-known center for writers of all ages. Sponsorship of these new programs will bring your company national visibility. We are a writers’ house!

Specialty Tours: In addition to our regular House tours, we offer specialty tours including Living History tours, Graveyard Shift Ghost tours, Get a CLUE Tours (inspired by the popular board game), and more.

Events and Event Series

Free Community Programs: Throughout the year, we offer a number of free community programs including our annual Tom Sawyer Day, Mark Twain Look-Alike Contest, Holiday House Tour, and monthly lecture series “The Trouble Begins at 5:30” focusing on Twain, his life, times, and interests. Other free community events may include theatrical performances, musical performances, and more!

BOOK/MARK Free Author Talks: Conversations with cool authors of hot books.

Mark My Words: Events with well-known authors. Past guests include Azar Nafisi, Patti Smith, and Roy Blount, Jr.

Marquee Author Special Events: One-time, large-scale events with best-selling and iconic authors. Past guests include Stephen King and Dan Brown.

Annual Fundraising Gala: The most fun gala in town!

Tapping into Twain: Our annual brewfest event featuring local breweries, restaurants and vendors.
